What is "negative stress"?

Negative stress boosts adrenaline too but generally there is no release activity to go with it. Elevated levels of chemicals in the body designed to cope with the burst of action are still coursing round the system.

With nowhere to go, stress and tension mounts up, you become irritable, snappy, find it harder to concentrate. Muscles become tense, often leading to headaches. The worse you feel the more stressed you become.

Many Doctors believe the majority of modern illnesses are stress induced.

Stress can come from worrying about your job, finances, company budgets and deadlines, family issues, exams, the death of a close friend or family member, shopping (especially Christmas!), moving home, getting married, forthcoming surgery, travel and holidays, the list goes on.
