What is "positive stress"?
We all need it, so what is it?
It used to be the fight or flight syndrome when in ages past we needed to survive attack from other tribes or predatory animals. Now it's channelled into modern life and can have either a positive or a negative effect on our health.
Positive stress boosts adrenaline and helps us cope with some of the events of our lives. It can occur during competitive sports, when enjoying the rides at a fun-fair, a wedding or other festive event.
It's that rush that we enjoy when something good has happened as a result of increases activity and concentration.
